If this is your first time shopping with me, please read ALL information before you begin!
- PICKUP/SHIPPING: First of all, this site is primarily for those that are local to me, in Lincolnton, NC 28092 (I am about an hour northwest of Charlotte, NC. and about 30 mins from both Hickory and Gastonia). I will be happy to ship some of my smaller items, at the buyer's expense, but it is very expensive to ship larger and heavier items. Feel free to browse the site, and message me if you have a question about shipping a product at shopbabybargains@gmail.com
- HOW TO USE THE WEBSITE: When you start shopping, it is very similar to any other store. You will add items to your cart and go through the checkout process just like any other site. But when you get to the payment section you will select "Cash On Delivery" as your payment type. Even if you are going to pay using Venmo or Cash app, still make this selection in order to move on with the purchase. Continue entering your information until you get to the Review Order screen.
- WRITE DOWN MY ADDRESS: Once you have placed your order, you will be sent to the Review Order screen, please take note of my address at the top of the screen. That is where your item pick up will take place, and then click Place Order. Now you have completed your order, and you will get a confirmation email with a confirmation number (you will need this number later). The email should also contain my address. I only ask that you take note of my address at the Review Order stage in case something happens, and you do not get an email. Be sure to also check your spam folder if you cannot find it.
- DETERMINING PICKUP TIME: At this point your order is NOT complete. This is the Most Important Step in the process! Please go back to the homepage and follow either the link at the top menu or button at the bottom, to get to the "Book Pickup Time" page. Follow the easy steps to setup an "approximate" time you would like to pick up. I have setup the calendar in 2 hour increments, so for example, if you want to pick up at 3:00 select the timeframe that includes that time. Please include your confirmation number (from your confirmation email if possible) when scheduling. I set this up in timeframes so you do not feel rushed to be here at a certain time. I am still learning the system, but once you have scheduled your appointment, I hope to be able to mark the item pending. If the items is not marked pending that means I have more than one in stock, so no worries. But remember, if you haven't scheduled a pickup time, your order has not officially been placed.
- EARLY ORDERS: Shop as much as you like, but I ask that you wait to place your order no earlier than 2 days before you plan to schedule your pickup time. So, for example, please don't place an order on Tuesday and then try to schedule a pickup on Saturday. The calendar will not let you do that, but I also cannot hold products that long. When you know your pickup time, you can place your order up to 2 days before that time. In the case of our example, you would wait until Thursday, and if the item is still available, place your order at that time and schedule your Saturday appointment. I will only hold your item for those two days without a deposit. If you wish to ask for a hold, please go ahead and schedule the latest appointment possible, and then send me an email, preferably with the subject title "Late Pickup Request". I will send you my Venmo or Cash App information and once a $20 deposit has been made, I will reschedule your pickup time on my end.
- ORDERS WITHOUT A PICK UP TIME: On my end, an order is NOT fully placed until a pickup time has been selected, so it would be very helpful if you would schedule your appointment immediately after ordering. If you place an order and do not schedule an appointment immediately after, I cannot assure you that the item will remain available. However, if you need a longer hold time, I can do that with a $20 deposit (or the cost of the product if less than $20) as discussed in the previous section.
- CANCELLING ITEMS: Now we must talk about item cancellation. As you are aware, once you have placed your order, you have not paid anything at that point, so you may or may not go through with the process. I will mark pending on the item once the appointment is made and I will hold your item through your pickup day/time. Life sometimes happens and we can't always be where we need to be, and I am fully aware of that. I will do everything in my power to work with you as much as I can. All I ask is that you reach out to me if you are going to be late, so we can work something out, or if you wish to cancel all together. If you miss your pickup day, and haven't sent me an email, I will assume a cancellation. It would be nice, if you plan to cancel to just let me know as soon as possible with the subject line "Cancel Order". It is just very important to remember that, if you have NOT scheduled an appointment, your order has not officially been placed!
- RETURNS AND REFUNDS: I am a small business so I cannot provide an "Amazon" type refund policy. However, especially in the case of electronic devices, if you get it home and it does not initially work properly, I will be happy to offer a replacement (if I have one) or a refund if you return the product. But after you have initially used the product and everything works fine, and then a month later something happens, I can no longer accept it as a return. So please test your item as soon as possible. But keep in mind that the majority of the baby products I sale, do come from companies with amazing warranties, most of which do not require a receipt. Many of the products either come with a registration card containing the product date, or has the date stamped on the product somewhere, and the company will still honor the warranty based on that date. I also will not accept returns simply because you changed your mind or don't want it anymore. Please remember, I am a small business, I just don't have the capacity and manpower to handle all of that. But you can feel confident purchasing from me because if you purchase a faulty product, simply take a quick video of the problem, and send it to me via email with the subject line "Problem with an Item". I will be happy to figure out a solution.
- SIGN UP FOR EMAIL: If you want me to add your email address to my email list group just sign up below. I haven't decided what all I am going to send out yet, perhaps a preview of upcoming items. But I do promise not to send more than one or maybe two email a week. Now, I haven't worked with this system long enough to know the Opt-Out process yet, but I will update that information when I do.
- FINALLY PICKUP TIME: When you arrive at your pickup time, your order should be waiting for you on the porch or in front of the steps. If I have several orders out there, I will put your name on your items. Most of the time with car seats, I will not bring them up the steps unless it is raining, and I will try to leave a set of hand trucks out there to help you get it in your car. Some of these car seats can be unbelievably heavy so please be careful getting them to your car. If I am home and you need assistance, please feel free to ring my doorbell. But if you do purchase a heavy item you may want to bring someone with you to pick it up just in case. I have a black box next to my door for money. I do prefer cash but will take Venmo and Cash App as needed. I have provided the QR codes for Venmo and Cash App on the black money box beside my door. If you use Venmo/Cash App, all you have to do is bring up your photo app, point your phone at the QR code like you are going to take a picture and it will pop up a link. Click on that link and make your payment.
